Schneckenleitner has built its reputation on the production of large-format oval casks, which can be found in many of the world’s best wineries. The main characteristics are the large format, the incredibly low toasting and the significantly long air-drying time (the Alpine foothills region of Austria represented has a rich biodiversity of flora and fauna). This creates extremely environmentally friendly oval and round barrels that respect the fruit, freshness and minerality of the wine, while allowing for some natural micro-oxidation. Their large-format containers are ideal for both white and red wines.
